Years ago, as a partner of my CPA firm, I found that my friends and family needed integrated financial planning and investment advice in addition to the tax and business consulting services that we were delivering. I first tried working with bank trust and brokerage companies to address their needs but ran up against the inherent conflicts of interest that exist in those commission-paid, sales-based environments. I could not find what my clients wanted and needed. So, in 1995 I created what became FirstWave Financial, a fee-only, independent and objective, financial planning and investment advisory firm. For the next twenty-eight years we helped people we care about create the life they dream about.In 2024 FirstWave Financial became part of Savant Wealth Management. Savant is also a fee-only, independent and objective, employee owned, financial planning and investment advisory firm but with a breadth and depth of knowledge and resources to offer to our clients that we could only dream of having as a smaller company. In addition to cutting edge financial planning tools and evidence-based investment solutions, we now also offer services that include estate planning and wealth transfer, tax advisory and preparation, trust services, accounting and consulting services, family office services and company retirement plan services. All of this is delivered in a fiduciary environment where our clients’ best interest is always placed first. I could not be more excited about helping successful individuals and families find and connect with the resources they need to create their ideal futures. In my free time, I am a car and motorcycle enthusiast. I am a Porsche trained driving instructor and brand ambassador. I teach people how to enjoy the capabilities of their high-performance automobiles on racetracks around the county. I also drive on these racetracks, having won national championships with Historic Sportscar Racing in 2018.
