I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing Strategy. My education in business has transitioned well into the corporate retail world where I have gained critical experience in both allocation and buying. Both of these areas work together to obtain new, consumer driven merchandise and distribute to the correct locations through meticulous strategies. Marketing continues to be an interest of mine as it allows me to better think through business decisions in corporate retail since the consumer is the focus. My interest in retail has lead me to gain experience working across diverse areas of focus in apparel such as ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes as well as housewares through cookware, kitchen electrics, toys and smart home. My experience across these areas gives me the ability to understand different kinds of consumers based on completely different item level focuses. Corporate retail is an ever-changing industry where I hope to further my career in buying and across additional sectors of the business.
