Taught a five credit general education science class (Nature). Nature is a science class with a lab and two field trips catered for non-science majors.

Program lead for Installation Restoration Program (IRP) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington. Review contractor’s regulatory reports and work plans. Work with an independent auditor to complete budget reports for IRP which totaled $2.1 million in Fiscal Year 2015. Have a current environmental liabilities certificate from Army Environmental Command (AEC). Generate regulatory reports including: final decision documents, a Record of Decision and completion reports for CERCLA, RCRA, and MMRP projects. Update program Administrative Record annually.Planned and conducted ground water sampling events for 11 CERCLA, RCRA, and Washington state voluntary cleanup program projects as the long-term monitoring task lead. Trained new staff in proper sampling techniques using various equipment. Responsible for sampling event budgeting, scheduling field technicians, and coordinating sample delivery and data package receipt.Primary author of ground water and site investigation reports as well as feasibility studies, work plans in conjunction with quality assurance and health and safety plans.Created a base wide groundwater elevation survey in 2010 to study the affects of production wells within the vicinity of Madigan Army Medical Center on aquifer draw down. This survey was expanded in 2015 to include other potable source production wells on JBLM.Performed a trend analysis on groundwater data at a current IRP cleanup site. Wrote a technical memorandum of results and sent to Army Environmental Command.Involved in database management using Microsoft Access and the US Department of Defense’s Environmental Resources Information System (ERIS). Analyze groundwater data using Aquachem, Chemstat and Sanitas.. Create figures displaying constituent concentration and groundwater level isocontours using ESRI’s ArcMap GIS software.

Contract Employee with Golder Associates Ltd for the implementation of field activities in support of an Environmental Impact Assessment for an Oil Sand mining operation located north of Fort McMurray, AB, Canada. The contract responsibilities involved the oversight of mud rotary drilling operations and the documentation of groundwater monitoring well construction activities for wells ranging in depth from 20 feet below groundwater surface (bgs) to 425 feet bgs. Developed, sampled and performed slug tests on recently constructed wells. Responsible for finalizing end of the program reports for permitting through the Energy Utilities Board/Energy Resources and Conservation Board. Reports included as-built drawings of well construction details, and tabulation of data. As-built drawings and tabulated data will be used for finalization in the Baseline Environmental Setting Report. Geochemical analyses of groundwater analytical data and construction of Piper Plots using Aquachem.

Provided oversight of sub-contractors during site assessments including groundwater well installation and development events, underground storage tank (UST) removal events, and groundwater sampling programs within Oregon, Washington, Colorado and California in support of two national contracts. Managed analytical data using Locus Technology’s Environmental Information Management (EIM) database as part of the client’s national data management program. Took part in a four person Data Management Team whose responsibility was to test new modules in EIM and plan implementation strategies for other SAIC offices and suppliers. Wrote two user manuals for client’s database modules and distributed to SAIC offices in California. Provided database support to SAIC offices in California. Used statistical methods to analyze groundwater data to evaluate client’s groundwater program on a site by site basis in Oregon to determine the potential for cost savings opportunities.

Collected surface stream water samples in accordance with State and Federal regulations and laboratory policy. Performed phosphorus and nitrogen testing using a Spectrophotometer 20 D plus and an Accumet AR25 probe. Co-authored a QA/QC manual following the methods and techniques described in the National Water-Quality Assessment (NAWQA) program of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
