Seeking a wide range of experiences and taking opportunities across a variety of fields has allowed me to consolidate strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Although perhaps my strongest proof of this is starting from the ground up, growing, and leading the Green Party Society at the University of Exeter, its roots are grounded in my years in secondary school and college. Whilst completing 4 A Levels and an EPQ, I led a Young Enterprise team through the Regional Finals and published a children's book. I was also heavily involved in societies, chairing the amalgamated Social Science Society and leading the college's Model United Nations delegation at Felsted MUN - one of the largest 16-18 MUN conferences in England. Delivering training and briefing sessions to best prepare my delegation for the conference paid off greatly as we won the most commendations out of any delegation, including Felsted's delegation which was the largest in attendance. As someone who holds sustainability and ethical practices very close to my heart, BA International Relations has provided me with the opportunity to widen my perspective on some of the most important issues in the world today. Modules such as Global Sustainability and Governance, Environmental Policy in Times of Crisis, and International Politics of the Global South have developed my understanding of climate change and the need for fair, equitable, and holistic solutions. This has inspired me to pursue a career in sustainability policy.I also believe in the importance of developing real-world skills as early as possible; this is why I have worked a range of jobs from the age of 14, including as a catering assistant, before working as a Census Officer for the ONS. As one of the youngest Census Officers in the country, I was given a high degree of responsibility as a young independent worker visiting households at the age of 16. Carrying on the valuable skills of communication and problem-solving that I developed in this role, I joined Exeter City Football Club as a steward alongside my studies and other commitments. Having an eye for detail and a keen interest in design, I have also been heavily involved in digital communications and marketing, creating content for both the Green Party Society and Exeter Green Party.
