Current-Manage the organisations' portfolio of suppliers, seeking to develop and maintain strong relations with strategic partners-Negotiate with suppliers, to ensure their offering and pricing enables the organisation to remain competitive, with no adverse impact on service quality -Raise purchase orders to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained-Manage the organisations' price-file with attentiveness to proposed increases-Proactively seek out the latest innovations within the market, to ensure customers have access to the latest products-Provide assistance on sales enquries, to help satisfy the requirements of existing and new customers-Through continuous improvement, rationalise the supply chain, removing both slow moving products and suppliers who do not meet service standards.
