I learned a lot very quickly on a shoestring budget including how to learn to win by failing. Sometimes winning is having made the attempt at all. Not all was lost along the way. I organized and held an event to showcase our non-profit partners and gain exposure for our efforts and aside from inclement weather, it was a great success and a great deal of fun for everyone who attended, although the turnout was a bit less than we had hoped for in monsoon conditions in a Pavilion on the Beach of the Jersey Shore. Leading up to this event, I arranged an interview on NJ12 News to promote the event strictly by a cold call. The event was fully furnished with food, beverage, and entertainment through my fundraising efforts as all was done to benefit our efforts in support of our non-profit partners.In pursuing these ventures I've learned a great deal about Business both the good and the bad and have a great deal of satisfaction from the success I had with some of our sponsor prospects and our partnerships with different towns and Non-Profits along the Jersey Shore.To list some of our Sponsorship Opportunities, they were, though not limited to Advertisements on Dry Cleaning Paper Products and other supplies to go home with the customers,sponsorship on air filtration devices to eliminate second hand smoke in an array of different public venues, and ads on portable pocket sized cigarette disposal units to try to keep cigarette butts off the Jersey Shore Beaches, Leading to a Partnering with Clean Ocean Action as a portion of our proceeds were to go to their efforts and the ARC of Monmouth as they were to be our assemblers as well as a number of Shore Communities.
