Recent Development:I have accepted a Technical Solutions Architect position in IBM's Global Chief Data Office's Privacy Governance team. This role will have me designing, proving and building solutions to help compliance with Global Data Privacy and AI Laws. This is a new space for me that I will become an expert in over the next little while. Bio:I have been working in the I/T industry since 1993 when I started in the MIS Department and advanced to programmer postion in 1994 at Morton International. I worked on numerous platforms with PowerBuilder and C Development with 0% data loss as federal requirement.Upon graduating from Utah State, I started with IBM as an entry level developer. I quickly moved to a tech lead position. I then worked as a lead developer using MQ Series with C and PM/REXX. From there I moved into Lotus Notes Development. I worked Project ranging from service level reporting and Contract Renewal Management. As a Certified Notes Developer I worked on numerous dev/review teams to help others improve performance and scalability of their apps. I moved to an architect position in 2001. I have worked a number of projects as a Lead Architect. During one of the reorganizations I went through, my team ended up in the Systems Engineering organization. I trained and mentored under an outstanding SE and moved into a Lead SE position implementing/introducing the discipline on a number of different projects. I was lead SE on a couple projects that went thru SEI CMM Level 5 certification. During an high level engagement, I was asked to utilize my extensive data experience and lead a team to transform some key data quality areas in the organization. At this time I applied my SE and Architecture skills and folded them in with Data Quality and Data Management arena. I became a charter member of the IAIDQ. I have worked with Siebel Analytics, Informatica, DataStage and other ETL Tools. I have continued to expand my data modeling skills through Erwin and InfoSphere Data Architect.I have worked on large scale divestitures, Business analytics implementations and data lake projects. From 2017 through 2019 I worked in a startup division for Watson Education and designed and built MicroServices solutions on Kubernetes in IBM Cloud. and in 2019 through 2022, I worked for Watson Health/IBM Consultings, Government Health and Human Services organization building large scale APCD and MMIS Data Warehouses.Most recently I have started work at in IBM's Global Chief Data Office's Privacy Governance Team.
