At SDU Cortex Lab, which is part of the SDU RIO (Research & Innovation Organization), I was part of an Incubation & Enterprising team, working to create the best possible framework for students starting their own business, while they study.Here I responsible for the prototyping workshop called MakerSpace, which is the place where students and professors can work with their ideas, from concept to functional prototype.The tasks ranged widely, but included primarily:- Maintenance of machines and facilities in MakerSpace.- Organize courses in 3D printing and laser cutting every week.- Sparring with students within prototyping, including choice of methods, CAD drawings, 3D printing, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, photography, etc.- Making various initiatives that made MakerSpace the optimal place to develop prototypes. It was e.g. to make new storage options, update guidelines for using the machines, as well as other forms of nudging that make MakerSpace easier to use.There was a particular focus on spreading hands-on educational technology in the work with innovative processes - curricular and extra-curricular within non-technical education.

Adivo Solutions was a start-up company that originated from the idea competition called HealthTech Innovator, where the team got the first price and peoples price. With the first price followed a sum of money to continue the development of the product. The product was a universally adaptable leg support system, that could be fitted onto the majority of existing clinical examination tables on the market. The primary target market for this product was maternity clinics.I was one of the co-founders out of a team of three people with different backgrounds, and I was in charge of the technical development.While working on the product, the team had meetings with different patent agents and an investor and made countless of pitches. The team also participated in an entrepreneurship talent programme at SDU and a start-up camp in Berlin, called Spice Camp, where the team won the best pitch.
