In my spare time I founded Everwealth - a personal finance platform that consolidates all your finances in one place in order to make smarter financial decisions and gain control of your personal finances.Early 2017 Everwealth was acquired by Auto & General and I was asked to continue its growth, build out a team and help drive it to new heights. In April 2020 Budget Direct Money Manager was launched which is a white-labeled version of Everwealth which is used by thousands of existing Budget Direct customers around Australia. In terms of my role - In the early days I did all the things from Marketing & Accounting right through to building and deploying the frontend & backend systems. After Everwealth got acquired my role changed to being more managerial but to this day I have stayed very hands-on developing and improving the platform.

As part of a large organisational change to adopt agility practices I joined a small continuous improvement team.My team was responsible for designing and implementing a new way of working - As part of this we moved throughout all areas of the business effectively working as internal consultants to implement this large body of change across the organisation, as part of this we developed a range of resources such as face-to-face training materials, workshops, videos and quick-start guides to assist our client teams to champion the change and to bootstrap our teams more efficiently. In this role I was able to leverage my technical skills to develop tools and patterns to help make the delivery process more efficient. This often required researching, selecting and rolling out new development and collaboration tools and quite often we would “bootstrap” by way of examples to get things moving in the right direction.- Rolled out GitHub Enterprise company wide & developed training materials like workshops, videos to get wide adoption- Rolled out Octopus Deploy everywhere as our release management tool- Rolled out TeamCity everywhere as our build & package manager- Rolled out Slack as our collaboration tool and built many processes around it such as release notes, alerts & warnings etc- Migrated all teams away from Perforce source control to GIT- Designed, built and managed a tool called TattFlow that allowed our delivery teams to effectively manage releases within our highly regulated environment- With the infrastructure team we rolled out VMware automation for dev/test/prod to give our teams faster access to resources- Adopted Chef for infrastructure management and helped build and deploy hundreds of cookbooks to our internal store- Moved many applications from deploying once a month or quarter to being deployed as required with ZERO downtime- Instrumental in organising Tatts Group’s first ever hackathon called TattsHack

During this time I helped build a software-as-a-service solution that included delivery of targeted newsletters, user profiling/segmentation through click-path tracking of newsletter campaigns, with the ability to view detailed reports and analytics.
