Senior Coordinator - Assessment, Research, And Accountability
• Responsible for developing comprehensive strategies and standards for the assessment for and of student learning throughout the school district; • Manages educational program evaluation and research by developing work plans and schedules, implementing quality and progress control procedures, and identifies emerging issues;• Provides consultative services to other departments and administrators regarding research proposals, research designs, surveys, and evaluation models and methods for projects, existing programs, and grant-funded programs; • Reviews, approves, coordinates, and monitors requests to conduct research in schools and district for all levels to ensure compliance with the district research and survey policy;• Designs, conducts, and reports formative and summative-formal evaluations of existing, pilot, and special programs/projects related to assessments, student achievement, and accountability; • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data linked to instructional programs and district initiatives, and prepare related administrative and accountability reports for the School Board, district, and schools; • Provides and coordinates professional development and training related to use of data and data analysis related to benchmark assessment, formative assessment, and other assessment programs;• Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, meetings, conferences, and workshops;• Research, evaluate, and prepare recommendations on assessment and instructional applications for the school district;• Develop assessments and procedures that measure the effectiveness of curricula, and use these tools to determine whether program objectives are being met; and• Update the content of educational programs to ensure various stakeholders are trained with applications and processes that are technologically current.
Senior Coordinator - Assessment
• Planned, coordinated, and implemented mandated testing programs according to state and local policy and criteria.• Monitored more than 55 schools, 15 alternative, and various outplaced services settings’ testing policies, schedules, data entry, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and district guidelines and to prepare for possible testing audits. • Conducted over 50 staff development and training programs annually regarding accountability policy, test administration, interpretation, and analysis for the improvement of instruction as well as special education-specific and ELL-specific training modules. • Trained over 110 School Test Coordinators and Assistant Principals responsible for testing on assessment standards and state-mandated test regulations and compliance. This included holding monthly testing meetings to update school test coordinators and Assistant Principals on testing policy, procedures and protocol and address testing concerns and accountability.• Collected and analyzed student achievement data, prepared administrative reports, and assisted in the analysis of test data in support of the School Board mission and goals. • Served as liaison between the school district and the Department of Education, commercial test publishers and scoring centers to obtain and provide needed test-related information. • Organized and maintained longitudinal files of student, school and district test data as required by the Department of Education and the district. • Continuously met and updated school administrators and central administration on state and federal policies that impact assessment.• Supervised 4 assigned testing support staff. Encouraged and motivated staff to increase departmental production and effectiveness by clearly defining routine processes.
