FORA is a Lisbon-based company, specialized in eyewear and sunglasses.All their products are handmade and they want to make the switch to a more industrial production,So that's where I play my role, I turn their current models into Production Drawings so the manufacturers can produce higher quality products, in a more affordable and sustainable way.The process of elaborating these Drawings consists in measuring accurately each sunglass design, creating a 3D Model of these designs in Solidworks, rendering image samples, annotating every important dimension in 2D views and finishing the process in Adobe Illustrator to clean up all the information.Since this freelance partnership started I developed 7 different models, 2 of which are yet to be launched.

Karat18’s market was mostly international, so here I acquired some knowledge on how to work for other countries and absorb a bit of their culture.In this company, my role was to grab the Head Architect’s work and create 3D Models of the houses/ buildings.On of the members was a Civil Engineer and I managed to get some insights from engineering and the process of building a house (for example).I had to adapt and learn SketchUp and Artlantis by myself, since those were the programs they used, I definitely learned how to be more independent during this internship since I was working alone most of the time.I came across 2 different projects during this internship in which one of them was located in Cameroon.

During this internship I took my first steps into the job world, I had to quickly adapt to new work dynamic with colleagues, clients and directors.I mostly worked with AutoCAD and Hand Sketching in order to provide support to the head architects.During this month I worked on 2 architecture and 2 design projects.
