Assumed the Command and Control of ship whilst ensuring the proper maintenance and operation of the platform to perform the missions in a successfully manner.Managed and motivated a crew of 27 crew members, deployed far from the main base, for more than 300 days in total, while building a professional and sharp team ready for any assigned task.Reinforced time-management in the training, readiness and logistics before and during missions to increase performance and teamwork.Achieved positive results while executing high demand missions, such as Search and Rescue, monitoring and inspection of fishery activities, safeguard of the Portuguese sovereignty and contribute to the national Maritime Situational Awareness (MSA).Participated in two in two European Union Agency FRONTEX mission – INDALO Operation, in order to detect, locate, monitor and intercept activities related with irregular migration in the external borders of the EU as well as report any suspicious illegal activity (Human trafficking, drugs and weapon smuggling, pollution) in the area in close coordination with the Spanish authorities. While deployed managed to rescue 52 irregular migrants and report to the Spanish authorities any illicit activity in the area.

Successfully coordinated a team of 20 and executed maritime and air surveillance, weaponry and electronic warfare operations, resulting in effective and timely communication to key decision-makers and ultimately the missions’ success such as the integration on the Standing NATO Maritime Group One – SNMG1 (2019).Applied problem-solving methodologies while participating in international exercises to respond in a timely manner to the played scenarios.Led the training to maintain high readiness standards, through effective team supervision, resulting in a well-prepared and capable team of 20.Assumed the Ships Company role as a deputy, being responsible for 170 crew members to support the Executive Officer, ensuring downward and upward clear communication throughout the crew.Participated in international exercises Cutlass Fury (2019), Dynamic Mariner (2019), Maritime Express (2019) which contributed to increase cooperation, create common standard procedures to work at same pace in multinational task forces.As responsible for the ships Intelligence Cell team, produced up to NATO SECRET clearance intelligence reports while escorting Contacts of Interest in the NATO Area Of Operations, providing detailed intelligence assessments.Participated in the Royal Navy’s Operational Sea Training (2019) in order to prepare for peace support and war-fighting operations in high stress simulating scenarios against threats from air, sea, land and underwater with the good scores by RN standards in the following areas: Command and Control (C2), Gunnery, Anti-air Warfare (AAW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW) and Maritime Security Operations (MSO).
