I founded Phillips Business Consulting (PBCLLC) in January 2020, and bring over 20+ years of experience in finance, accounting, human resources, financial systems analysis, project management, and business management and administration. While I conceived of PBCLLC as an accounting practice, I quickly pivoted my business model after the pandemic began in order to help local businesses launch federally-recognized apprenticeship programs, connecting companies with talent and expanding workplace training and education for trainees.I have served in numerous leadership roles, supporting the growth and financial health of small and medium-sized businesses. Before founding my own company, I served as the School Director for the Techni-Pro Institute, a private nursing school in Boca Raton, Florida. Despite leading the school during a challenging transitional period, my efforts supported an 85% reduction in annual revenue. I took on numerous additional roles and implemented critical cash-flow stabilizing initiatives. I also simultaneously led the school through its first round of Florida’s state accreditation process and helped establish three new programs in accounting, medical office billing and dialysis technologies, to help ensure the school’s long-term viability and financial security. Before Techni-Pro Institute, I held roles as account and business manager, finance administrator, and assistant comptroller to small and medium-sized companies, startups, and educational organizations throughout Boston and Florida.I am always looking for ways to support my community and believe in the power of education and ethical and sustainable business practices. I was an active volunteer with the Sustainable Business Network and Jamaica Plain Local First nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts before I relocated to Florida.I hold a B.S. in Finance and Accounting Management from Northeastern University. My dog, Bruno Mars, and I have called Florida home for the last five years.
