About Tiffany Nelson

I am a fourth year Doctoral Candidate at the University of Florida in the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences - Immunology and Microbiology track with a focus on virology and infectious diseases. My goal is to pursue a career as an infectious disease expert and work towards the develop of novel treatments and vaccines. In addition, I have a strong passion for bridging the knowledge gap between the scientific community and general public through seminars, policy making, and educational tools. I also seek to inspire and mentor other first-generation students interested in research, academia, and the post-secondary and graduate education process.
