MITTIC (the MUREP Innovation Tech Transfer Idea Competition) is a higher education spinoff challenge established to develop new ideas for commercialization by seeking concept papers from multidisciplinary student teams enrolled at a Minority Serving Institution (MSI). Teams choose one NASA Intellectual Property (IP) from a provided list and submit concept papers explaining commercial viability of the proposed idea using the MITTIC challenge guidelines. 8 teams were chosen as finalists to present a pitch for the "Space Tank" competition. NMT Grip Gang, with myself as team lead, was chosen as one of the 8 finalists for this competition and presented the "Helping Hands" concept on April 15.

Developed the Scalable Ethernet Switch solution for deterministic Ethernet in a team setting.Conducted tests on Engineering Development boards to determine if the software performed as expected using Wireshark and the IAR Embedded workbench debugger. Practiced the engineering process by using Git for version control, using Jira for issue tracking, and having peers review the software produced.

Independently automated the software building process using the continuous delivery platformJenkins coupled with scripts in Python and Groovy.Tested other team member’s software for embedded systems using C and IAR EmbeddedWorkbench.Gained experience with team-wide version control using Git with Bitbucket.Solved the problem of how to effectively incorporate Jenkins into a software team’s developmentprocess and explained the process of using the new Jenkins server in a technical presentation.

Assisted new students with correctly constructing a 3D printer kit. Instructed students in 3D printer troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.Taught students the design and improvement of 3D objects to be used for parts on the printer.
