The Education Director is an integral role in management of the Arboretum. This includes hiring, mentoring, staff assignments and evaluation• Overseeing curriculum development and implementation, conducting workshops, coordinating public programs and activities with other agencies, private groups and departments • Teaching both children and adults in a variety of the programs offered• Assisting in budget development and assessment of changes as needed• Managing education budget through the fiscal year• Overseeing the institution's collection, including care and management of natural artifacts, and care and management of the Arboretum’s live animal collection• Working with the Volunteer Manager in training and supervising education volunteers.
