Develop daily coursework and long term curriculum for Foundations of Fitness for students grade 7-11. I place strong emphasis on the components of heath and skill related fitness and Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility Through Physical Activity (Hellison). My mission is that every student identify physical activities that they enjoy participating in on a regular basis, develop healthy habits, and be empowered to workout anywhere, anytime, with anyone.

Participated in monthly Professional Learning Experiences (PLEs), coaching sessions and deliverable assignments to “deep-dive” into leadership concepts and practices to improve influence and leadership effectiveness.The learning objectives for the PLEs are:1. To develop a heightened self-awareness. Topics include personality type, emotional intelligence, strengths, and the way tendencies play out in building team.2. To develop and practice skills of building and leading an effective team. Topics include vision setting, building trust, mastering conflict, achieving commitment, embracing accountability, and focusing on results.3. To develop skills in coaching and management. Topics include “Level 3 Listening”, effective coaching strategies, tracking success and managing change and transition.

• Taught weekly rock-climbing class to recreation center patrons, assessing climbing safety procedures in order to issue belay certification. • Facilitated and supervised climbers during open rock-climbing hours.• Set beginner-intermediate climbing routes.• Maintained inventory and facilitated outdoor gear rentals and contracts in rental shop.• Planned itineraries, packed and prepared equipment, transported participants, facilitated recreational activities and managed risk for outdoor learning experiences on 1–6-day long trips in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. • Maintained up to date safety and rescue practices through Site Management, Wilderness First Responder, and Swiftwater Rescue trainings.
