About Tiffany Taylor
I bring my experience as a teacher of adults who are blind and my personal use of screen reading software, braille and adaptive technology to my work as an Access Consultant where I test accessibility and usability of websites and other online materials to ensure they are usable and accessible to persons in the blind community. I am a disabled performer working to bring greater accessibility to the performing arts and challenging society's perceptions of persons with disabilities. I Currently advise on the creation and implementation of audio description, touch tours and a wide range of access considerations for live performance, which is not only necessary to make performance accessible to people with disabilities, but also beneficial for everyone involved. As a performer who is blind, I hope to challenge questions of perception, identity, possibility and the creative process. I am a passionate, outgoing and dedicated person and I am ready to educate others, be a positive and encouraging face, and to advocate, connect to and empower others in the disability movement to strive to make positive change in the wider community.
