I have approximately thirteen years in high paced, quick decision making, pressure induced, leadership role environments, all of which have warranted consistent commendation.While obtaining an education at the University of California at Los Angeles [UCLA], I’ve had frequent opportunities to develop my leadership qualities. In the position of president for the Chi Alpha Delta sorority, I’ve had the fortune of planning and coordinating meetings. In addition, through my experience on the leadership team for UCLA’s official charity, UniCamp, I’ve embraced the responsibility to plan, organize, and execute an extensive ten week training program for our 60 volunteers. During the three years that I have held an office assistant position at UCLA, I have built a strong customer serving work ethic. I have assisted customers over the phone, made appointments, resolved problems/issues, and have discovered that I am a quick study in many office-related tasks.Throughout my five year tenure at the JCSD Parks and Recreation Department, I have welcomed and encouraged suggestions, advice, and observation from my superiors and coworkers to help me become a quick thinking, fast-paced, efficient, and organized Recreation Specialist the department demanded. During this time, I have successfully taken the initiative and completed the creation and maintenance of several essential projects for the department, some of which include; the implementation of a cash handling policy, daily transaction processing, Contract Instructor Manual creation, as well as informational packets for efficient customer service, which is shared with my coworkers. My passion for the community, its goals and success is clearly evident in my endeavors to go above and beyond the call of duty by visiting recreation classes, parks, special events, etc. My positive attitude stems from the desire to ensure that customer needs are being met as well as to investigate ways to improve what we do.
