In seeking more purpose-driven work, I transitioned from the corporate sphere to outdoor education. In my role with the Fellowship Program, I assisted with the logistics of the NOLS Rocky Mountain base, outfitting students with the proper expedition gear and food rations. I now lead students on backpacking courses in Alaska and Wyoming to help them develop leadership skills, understand risk assessment, and cultivate an appreciate for the transformative powers of the outdoors. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder.

At Riffs Yoga Studios we bring the highest quality yoga experience to the San Diego community at two beautiful studio locations in Bird Rock and Ocean Beach. We offer intelligently sequenced yoga classes for a safe and sustainable practice. With profitability and growth being two of my top goals as Studio Director, I oversee all daily operations including managing a team of 28 yoga teachers, 4 staff members, and 9 work-for-trades. I also build corporate partnerships bringing mindful movement to the workplace and successfully execute private group events. My mission at Riffs is to connect as many people as possible to the practice of yoga for the betterment of individual and community wellbeing. I hold my 250 hour yoga teaching certification and teach Hatha/Slow Flow/Vinyasa style classes with sound healing.

During my internship with OCA, I assisted the Director of the Programs & Constituent Development Department with planning the annual National Convention in Los Angeles, CA. The week-long convention catered to over 700 professionals from across the nation. I arranged travel and hotel accommodations for keynote speakers and assisted workshop facilitators with set-up, greeting, and tech. My largest project was organizing the Youth Recognition Luncheon, a ceremony where college scholarships were awarded to outstanding high school students. For this event I designed the programs, wrote emcee scripts, and produced a short video to showcase what our 18-person internship cohort had done over the summer. My greatest accomplishment during this internship was recognizing the need for and subsequently creating/leading a team-building workshop for my fellow interns.
