I have successfully written grants, represented the museum on various boards and on committees within the Department of Parks and Recreation, and have spoken at conferences.From 2008 to 2013, I managed the museum gift shop, managing a budget to $30,000 per year. The average revenue for these years was over $50,000, approximately one third of the museum's overall revenue. From August 2012 to October 2013, during a staffing vacancy, I was in charge of marketing and advertising. During this time, I created and placed ads in local magazines, newspapers and television.
