I started my career in Ophthalmology in December 2013, working as a scribe in a fast-paced retina practice in Tallahassee, FL. In October 2015, I became a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. After three years, I relocated to Destin, FL, where I became the primary scribe for a Glaucoma/Cataract Specialist at a larger practice. While working full-time and attending college, I also undertook a marketing internship at the same practice for six months. After the internship, I accepted the role of Florida Physician Liaison for North Florida, in addition to my position as a Primary Scribe and Team Lead.After graduating from Florida State with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Communications, I moved to Fort Lauderdale after accepting a job as the Director of Operations for a 12-provider Retina practice. In this role, I managed eight offices and oversaw a team of over 60 ophthalmic technicians. Nine months into the role I pursued an opportunity in sales and joined ADP as an Associate District Manager. After another year, I received an opportunity to combine my ophthalmology experience with my sales and marketing expertise. I joined ModMed's Ophthalmology team as a Sales Development Representative. Within six months, I was promoted to Sales Development Manager.
