I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, spent my early ages in Beijing, China, and am currently enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. As an international student that has experienced many cultures and witnessed many different walks of life, I pride myself on having a holistic education. From completing the International Baccalaureate in high school to travelling for missions trips, I have always been invested in every corner of the world. I chose my engineering program for two main reasons. Firstly, being around the world has made me realize that there are places relatively underdeveloped that could benefit from technological advancements. For a high school student learning about the world, choosing to study engineering was the best tangible way to start trying to help. Secondly, as someone who has always valued peer-to-peer interaction, I have always considered myself a people person. Therefore, when the opportunity arose to pursue a Master of Engineering Management, I couldn't pass on it. All in all, I look forward to continuing my education and doing work that truly matters.
