About Tim Abrahams

I am one of the most experienced and respected voices in British architecture, working across the field as a critic and valued expert. As the cultural landscape shifts and fragments, I create work that speaks across the entire social and political spectrum: explaining, illuminating and evaluating. I have written for all the major quality newspapers as well as the best and most famous architecture publications; Deutsche Bauzeitung, Detail, Architecture D’Aujourd’hui, Architectural Review. I held the position of Deputy Guest Editor of Domus for a year. I have written about architecture for Art Review and Frieze and I am currently a Contributing Editor to Architectural Record. I also write for Unherd and The Critic. I founded a publishing company Machine Books, I am currently ghostwriting the memoirs of a highly respected American architect and I host a renowned podcast Superurbanism. My clients and collaborators have included the British Council, the Royal Academy of Arts, The Prince’s Foundation, the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Sir John Soane’s Museum, The International Olympic Committee, the Lisbon Trienal, the European Regional Development Fund and many more. I have lectured on architecture and contemporary culture at Oxford Brookes, University of the Arts London, Manchester Metropolitan University and The British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow.
