As an Adjunct Faculty member, I create and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, leveraging multiple teaching strategies to engage a diverse population of learners, maintain student attention, and provoke compelling classroom discussion on a variety of topics related to assigned coursework. I frequently review, evaluate, and select textbooks and instructional materials to support course objectives and student learning. Moreover, I collaborate with faculty and staff to supervise graduate students and senior-level undergraduates to optimize learning and foster institutional effectiveness, all under the banner of training the next generation of Christian leaders to flourish as well-equipped disciple-makers. During my tenure as Executive Director, I spearheaded the creation and implementation of a faith-based non-profit focused on engaging unemployment and under-resourced schools in Cape Town. Moreover, I led the research and development of a training model through innovative community research projects combatting unemployment and implementing school assessment tools to measure student progress. Key accomplishments include:• Assembling a research team and overseeing the project through completion, identifying key learnings around unemployment and faith-based engagement to develop a training model that served unemployed people by developing the necessary skills to obtain and remain in consistent employment.• Building a volunteer-led team teaching English skills to 2nd-grade students and math skills to 6th-grade students, along with other relevant academic programs for children.• Successfully assemble and train a highly-skilled curriculum team to write and test training models.• Leading multiple fundraising initiatives to effectively support the organization.
