Council’s civil infrastructure including roads, stormwater systems, effluent systems, and other various items are managed efficiently.2. The Port Lincoln Airport is managed as an efficient and progressive business activity of the Council.3. The Chief Executive Officer and the Council are provided with key strategic planning advice in relation to Works and Infrastructure matters and the Port Lincoln Airport.4. Thorough planning and budgeting results in efficent and affordable delivery of works programmes and services to the various Council townships and across rural areas.5. Policies, systems and procedures are developed to support the Council works program.6. Effective project management is provided to result in the effective delivery of various capital works programs

1. Provide high level strategic advice to executive management and government on the management of all regional and remotes areas buildings and civil Works Programs within the region.2. Provide high level regional program management, specific project management and strategic direction to the regional and remote areas Works Programs and develop and implement strategies and operational policies to support these programs.3. Provide effective leadership and resource management along with finance and budget management of the regional and remote area project delivery team.4. Take a lead role in disaster relief activities in the lead up to, during and after any disaster in the region including surrounding remote areas.5. Develop and manage a strategic engagement and communications strategy to achieve a high level of awareness and understanding of regional and remote areas Works Programs and develop new ways of fostering Indigenous engagement within the region.6. Represent the Department on regional representative bodies and committees. Take a lead role in building and strengthening existing relationships with Australian Government, Northern Territory Government, Local Government and private Sector Agencies, groups, representative bodies and the Community.7. Ensure the region maintains best practices in all its activities so as to safeguard the public and clients.

Alice Springs

1. Manage all phases of Project Delivery on program items including highly complex construction projects.2. Undertake the role of Superintendent’s Representative on a variety of specific Client Agency projects, responsible to the Superintendent in the administration of contracts, to ensure Departmental policies, procedures and Northern Territory Government legislation and construction standards are maintained.3. Responsible for investigations, project design, procurement and documentation, project administration and financial management of projects to meet the client’s requirements in relation to time, cost and quality of work.4. Ensure the Client Agency is actively involved in key decision making and is fully informed at all stages of projects, including events which may affect completion dates, costs or function of the facility/project.5. Carry out all duties in accordance with the Departmental WHS, EEO and environmental guidelines
