I have >20 years of international leadership experience as a Global Financial Markets executive at the forefront of business, technology and risk for the world’s largest wholesale banking institutions. My formative career was spent in Global Head roles across various asset classes in the UK, US, Canada and Asia, where I transformed technology, culture and risk management to deliver strong, sustainable business growth for organisations including NatWest, Standard Chartered Bank, Dresdner Kleinwort, Merrill Lynch and CIBC.I subsequently joined RBS where, as head of Currency, Local Markets and Short Term markets, I played a lead role in the bank’s response to the global financial crisis and regulatory scrutiny of the period, with roles on the Markets Management Committee, Rate Setting Review Board, Group Technology Committee, and Product Transformation Committee, and was actively involved in Market Standards, Culture Change, and Diversity & Inclusion Programmes. In addition, I held Board and Committee roles on major global and regional financial markets boards and steering groups, including the Fair and Effective Market Review, Bank of England Joint Standing Committee and Federal Reserve Bank FX Committee, and the Global Financial Markets Association. Most recently, I work as an independent expert witness who provides testimony, depositions and reports to judges, tribunals and regulators. I also have lectured on leadership, governance and diversity for the University of Cambridge, King’s College London, and Essex University Business School.I am always pleased to connect with individuals and organisations who feel my expertise would be of interest.
