Visual Assistant has invented a technology that provides TV images to the visually disabled tailored to their individual visual impairment. Our set-top-box has enabled even registered blind people with some remaining sight to enjoy TV again. The Visual Assistant technology represents a huge leap forward in a quest to provide a comprehensive solution to the visually impaired when using smart devices. This by delivering tailored images to the user specific to their eye condition, much in the same way as an optometrist's prescription for lenses does for people who wear glasses. However, while lenses generally help those with short or farsightedness the Visual Assistant can resolve sight issues that optics cannot solve.

Formed this charity specialising in the communication needs of mainly visually impaired people and built it together with Trustees to a turnover of £250,000pa. The charity helped finance the first online free screen reader for visually impaired people, Thunder, as well as versions in a further 5 languages. Also, the first talking smartphone software, Georgie, able to provide navigation to the blind and partially sighted.
