CurrentTim Conlin has recently completed a 13 year contract for Chevron in Angola as director of maintenance painting and scaffolding activities for land and offshore production facilities. As a NACE Certified Coating Inspector (#44) since 1985, he has an established track record with over 39 years of service in the protective coatings and oil and gas industries. Starting in 1980 as a Facilities Rep. with Chevron Production Company In Lafayette, LA., he has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities including field inspector, NACE Certified Inspector, Paint Foreman, Paint and Corrosion Foreman, and Project Manager. His experience is illustrated by hundreds of successfully completed painting projects on oil and gas offshore and land producing facilities in the Gulf of Mexico area. After leaving Chevron in 1998 and as Operations Manager for Corrpro Companies, his expertise expanded into the petrochemical, power, and transportation (bridge) industries. In 2002 he began overseas works starting with coating condition / hull integrity surveys on drilling rigs in Egypt, Qatar, Brunei, and Newfoundland. In 2003, he began service as Facilities Rep, then Paint Foreman for Chevron Cabinda Gulf Oil Company in Angola, Africa, where he managed the land and offshore maintenance programs with annual spends of up to $100 MM and 100 M2 of painted steel.
