Successful in joining the Development Operations Manager programme at WMAS. Completed the NARU Operational Commander course. a period of mentorship shadowing an Operations Manager Mentor, completed a GRS administration course, and BMW X5 RRV driving course.Acting up as an Operations Manager I provide operational leadership, line management and supervision to both clinical and axillary staff. I ensure the smooth running of the sector daily, ensuring the rostering of staff and maximising where possible the resources available to meet the trusts demands.I have experience of responding to incidents requiring operational management of the scene. In line with Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP), I would be responsible for liaising with other agencies to develop and execute the initial operational response (IOR) and, where activated, a tactical plan. I will coordinate ambulance resources at a scene whilst also ensuring the safety and welfare of staff and volunteers.

Seconded to the Community Response Department as a Community Response Project Manager.The Community Response Department manages and supports Community First Responders across the region, promotes Community Public Access Defibrillators and Bleed Control Kits and increases awareness of CPR and Defibrillation to members of the public.

As a Clinical Team Mentor (CTM) I provide clinical supervision and mentorship to all operational ambulance staff to ensure excellent patient experience and clinical outcome. Working within the Coventry and Warwickshire Sector I provide clinical and operational support, mentorship and supervision, providing peer to peer support. I carry out yearly clinical supervision shifts for all clinical staff, in which I provide a written report providing feedback and developmental areas as required. CTM’s also carry out certain audits such as cannulation and hand washing. I continue to respond to emergency calls as a registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professionals Council.

I provide advanced life saving treatment to people in a wide variety of serious incidents. I am also despatched to patients where I make a comprehensive assessment, treat as required and make referrals to other health care professionals and agencies ensuring the patient gets the right care in the right place at the right time. Acting up in a development role as a Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer I occasionally work within different hospital liaising with hospital managers and directors getting an understanding of both the hospital and ambulance service pressures for the shift, and ensuring ambulance crews can turn around within a timely manner. As a Named Mentor I take pride in mentoring trainee technicians, student paramedics and community first responders ensuring high quality mentorship and supervision, constructive feedback and ensuring best practice. I also train members of staff on the Mercedes 4x4 ambulance and the Bariatric ambulance.Having completed the Specialist Operations Response CBRN Practitioner course has ensured I have the correct knowledge and skills to respond to major incidents, previously supporting both the Hazardous Area Response Team with decontamination and treatment.On occasions I have previously responded on the Street Triage Mental Health Team in Birmingham & Coventry working with a mental health nurse and police officer to provide the right assessment and treatment for mental health patients.

As an Emergency Medical Technician based at Stratford upon Avon Ambulance Station, working within the Coventry and Warwickshire Locality. I respond to 999 emergency calls as part of an ambulance crew or occasionally on a rapid response vehicle. I provide life saving treatment to people in a wide variety of incidents. I work in a team alongside other qualified ambulance staff or occasionally by myself. As well as working in a rural environment I also have experience of working in a city environment as I spent a year being stationed within the Birmingham and Black Country Locality.

As an Emergency Care Assistant in the Coventry and Warwickshire Locality. I respond to 999 emergency calls as part of a crew assisting the Paramedic. I assist the paramedic in doing patient assessments, moving and handling, assist with treatment, and drive an ambulance under emergency conditions. I have had additional training in the use of the Alternative Response Vehicle (ARV) which was a specialist bariatric vehicle assisting crews with the use of specialist lifting equipment and techniques.

I recieved training in the treatment and transportation of bariatric patients, utilising a specialist vehicle and lifting aids assisting both frontline accident and emergency as well as patient transport crews.

Working in the Primary Care field as a (Bank) Emergency Care Practitioner on an innovative, responsive and integrated service in Coventry visiting, assessing & treating housebound patients on behalf of General Practitioners (GP’s).

Working in the Primary Care field as a (Bank) Paramedic Practitioner on a new innovative, responsive and integrated service in Coventry and Rugby, as a five month service trial, visiting housebound patients on behalf of General Practitioners (GP’s). Working alongside a team of multidisciplinary professionals providing clinical health, therapy and social care in admission prevention / avoidance service. Upon receiving a referral from a GP, I utilise appropriate clinical skills, within my Paramedic scope of practice for the assessment, treatment and management of acute medical care to patients in their own homes. This maybe liaising with the GP for prescriptions, treating with medications under Patient Group Directives (PGD’s) or liaising with other community services or health care professionals to provide the best possible care for the patient with emphasis on admission avoidance. This service was a five month trial within the Coventry and Rugby area which has received fantastic feedback from the GP's.

The forestry section is responsible for all trees on the Highway, in Schools, and within council owned land. Work included tree felling, pollarding, coppicing, reductions, tree planting and emergency work during work time and also out of hours such as trees fallen across the highway.

Blackwell Adventure took over management in 2005 of Birmingham County Scout Association's Campsite and Activity Centre - Blackwell Court which had been running since the late 1960's. I instructed activities such as Climbing, Abseiling, Zip Wire, High Adventure activities. I had the opportunity to undertake the following training: Single Pitch Award, Mountain Bike Instructor Award, Grand National Archery Society Award, and Pool Attendant Course.

I was employed by Warwickshire County Council as a Rights of Way Ranger. I worked county wide maintaining the Public Footpaths, Bridleways, and Byways. Practical work such as installing kissing gates, bridle gates, sleeper bridges, kit bridges, fencing, sign posting, way marking, surfacing, tree felling using chainsaws, chippers and other power tools. I also supervised volunteers carrying out project work.
