My 30+ year career as an Archeologist & GIS Technician includes significant management experience leading fieldwork and program operations in the US and overseas. This encompasses 10+ years guiding Pacific Island projects in Polynesia (Hawai`i, Marquesas, Samoa), Micronesia (Guam, Mariana Islands) in roles such as Archaeology Program Supervisor with the American Samoa Power Authority. I am currently working in the Northwestern United States as a Staff Archaeologist for RLR Cultural Resources on a variety of projects. From 2011 until 2022 , I was a member of an interdisciplinary team that identifies and preserves culturally, historic, and scientifically significant archaeological sites in North America’s Mid-Atlantic/Ohio Valley as an Archaeologist with the State of West Virginia’s Department of Highways. My areas of expertise include training, compliance, site excavation, artifact preservation, and public education. I excel in building consensus and facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholders, regulators, communities, cultures, and funding agencies. I am native English speaker with novice level proficiency in French, Spanish-American, and Samoan. While I enjoy my current job, I’m always open to a new career adventure and I would love to have an opportunity to return to and relocate to the Pacific Region.
