Tim is a collaborative environmental management and sustainability professional that recognises the value of a responsible organisation in a changing world, and understands that business and the environment must function together for the whole system to work. His environmental philosophy was established through a strong connection with nature, developed as child in the Australian landscape while birdwatching with his dad. This ultimately led to a Degree in Conservation Management and a Master of Environmental Management and Sustainability.His curiosity resulted in first of type research into the micro temperatures and humidity of seaweed on sandy beaches and its role in the body temperature regulation of migratory shorebirds. One for helping others, he spread the nature message by publishing in the Journal of Applied Ecology which promotes research on applied ecological problems to test and develop basic ecological theory with clear potential for improving management.Living to inspire and educate, Tim is an experienced sustainability communicator being equally at home in front of a Board, Executive, organisational staff, students, community or media. He has provided specialist commentary on a range of sustainability issues via television, talkback radio and conference panels.
