Objective: To work in an environment where my skills as a manager/commodities trader/buyer/sales can be used in a challenging and rewarding way.1994 to 2018HRM Provision Company, owner, perishable commodities traderHRM Provision Company, Inc. was a commodities trading house dealing in food products, mainly chicken, turkey and beef purchased mainly from producers in the United States, as well as from Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and sold to end-users in all the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Major customers included Hormel, Cargill as well as many other end-users. As owner and commodities trader, my duties included: Direct purchasing of protein products, negotiating prices and quantities, and arranging acquisition, warehousing, and shipping of products to end-users. I cultivated relationships with buyers, negotiated contract quantities and prices, delivery terms and meeting or exceeding product specifications. HRM arranged financing on both the acquisition and sale-side through use of fully vetted buyers via accounts receivable and payment to producers from company funds and/or use of bank provided lines of credit. The company hired and maintained a small staff and managed payroll activities as well.The finance activities included annual reviews of the company’s operations and financial health by our bankers who provided multi million-dollar lines of credit. Account receivables were insured and reviewed as well. HRM maintained itself and its operations in a manner that enabled the company to operate profitably for decades.
