Designed and implemented a graphical user interface using Objective Cand the iPhone SDK for a transit information database, part of the USDepartment of Transportation's Intellidrive initiative.

While studying at Cal State Chico, I played in the local symphony orchestra.

Organized the in-office distribution of and maintained contractor-supplied prototypes for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-roadside communication. Duties included upgrading the firmware for all prototypes, debugging configuration issues for the three network interfaces, X server configuration on the especially experimental prototypes, and keeping track of who has what prototype at what time and what version of the firmware their code runs on.Also did a lot of testing of the GPS units attached to these prototypes and gained some familiarity with the configuration of serial GPS devices. Wrote a web app using PHP and bash designed to run on the prototype hardware that allowed a pedestrian to inform any nearby cars that he was crossing the street.

Assisted in assembly and installed operating systems on many PC104 stacks. Wrote some OpenGL code in C for traffic simulation. Debugged early prototype 802.11p hardware.
