My professional experience started as a chemical engineering coop with USAirways as a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh. During the end of my coop program, USAirways offered me a full time job as a project fleet engineer. After graduating school with a chemical engineering degree, I pursued my MBA from Robert Morris University. During my time at USAirways, I gained valuable experience in all facets of engineering- electrical, mechanical, structural, etc. and was moved into project management roles of increasing responsibility. After the merger between USAirways and American I joined Triumph group as a mechanical engineer where I supported the manufacturing division and obtained a flammability DER from the FAA to design and implement flammability testing of interior components to show compliance with government regulations. I was also assigned to develop, implement, and oversee interior refurbishment programs. I am looking for a position in the engineering or business professions that will be challenging yet rewarding. I like learning new things and expanding my experience into different areas. I am open to other industries besides aviation.
