I am tasked with providing high accuracy construction layout and control, as well as verifying contractor supplied layout falls within design tolerances. I provide my survey team with models and computations in order to facilitate an efficient workflow.

As a Survey Project Manager I was required to communicate with project representatives in order to fulfill the survey needs during construction. I developed company wide CAD standards and data management protocols. I generate coordinates and sketches from engineering drawings in order to facilitate the survey crew completing tasks ordered by clients, as well as effectively managed the scheduling of crews based on workload in order to ensure timely responses to our clients needs. I have been tasked with managing various survey projects over the course of participation in those contracts, as well as performing as survey party chief in the field as needed.

Working under the direction of the project manager, I participated in and supervised crews engaged in surveying projects. I established and maintained effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and members of the general public. I have performed design and location surveys including topography and contours, construction surveys including verifying rights-of-way and QA/QC for completion of projects, worked with utility departments or companies in performing surveys on city streets and utility easements, and reading maps, plans and layout sheets in order to reproduce a physical survey. I was required to decide on survey techniques to be used on specific projects, and was responsible for staying abreast of latest survey techniques. I was responsible for establishing horizontal and vertical control on project sites, and ensuring measurements were accurate and safety precautions were taken. I was responsible for seeing that each crew member was trained and capable of performing assigned duties, and performing the duties of other survey personnel as needed.
