As a facility manager, he was responsible for interaction with contractors for construction of the new facility, installation of a cleanroom, HVAC system, new electrical service hook-up, Plumbing, waste drain line hook-up(s) and facility lay out. As a safety coordinator, he was responsible for the safety program including the start up of a safety auditing system, coordination with OSHA to ensure that all requirements were being followed, and training of personnel. As hazardous waste manager, he was responsible for contracting a waste management company and the set up of the waste management system, applying for the required permits and documentation for waste disposal, and overseeing waste disposal transactions between the facility and the waste management company.

Process Engineering/Manufacturing ControlsAs a process engineer, Mr. Easterling was responsible for the continuous improvement and controls for the manufacturing process at IBM's semi-conductor manufacturing facility, SPC limit calculations, disposition of product, operator training, research and development for new process and SPC controls software. He helped develop an experimental statistical tool monitoring and control software program. While at IBM he submitted two patents. Both were published as white papers. His process improvements were responsible for an estimated saving of 10 million dollars per year.
Nuclear Engineering/Engineering Laboratory Technician
As an ELT, Mr. Easterling was responsible for reactor and steam plant chemistry; controls, monitoring, chemical additions and analytical chemistry. He was also responsible for radiological controls and monitoring for reactor and personnel safety. Mr. Easterling was also qualified and trained as a mechanical engineer, calibration technician, evaporator technician, still technician, and HVAC technician. He was also responsible for instruction of junior and senior personnel. After his service in the Navy, He was honorably discharged with awards for good conduct and numerous awards for achievement.
