In my 18 years of experience with Haley & Aldrich I have participated in a range of geotechnical and environmental engineering studies including site assessments, field investigations, and geotechnical design. My current responsibilities include; performing first round engineering calculations, environmental site assessments, earthwork control, and field investigations including oversight of installation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells, soil and sediment sampling, groundwater and surface water quality sampling, and surveying. My experience in construction monitoring includes blast monitoring, sub-grade preparation, falling head tests, packer tests, grout plant operations, rock/soil anchor testing, soldier pile installation, pre-cast pile installation, micro pile installation, sheeting installation, soil-nail wall installation, drilled shaft installation, slurry wall installation, documentation of fill placement, and documentation of contaminated soil removal on large scale sites. I have experience in organizing and supervising very large scale field investigation efforts, and dealing effectively with the logistics of drillers, laboratories, and heavy equipment operators. I have a variety of experience with large-scale dig and haul sites including former Manufactured Gas Plants (MGPs) and petroleum sites. I have experience on multiple sites involving In-Situ-Soil Stabilization (ISS) technology and related soil mixing activities. I have been lead field superintendent on multiple power-grid projects throughout New England that involve complex planning and organization as well as rigorous environmental and safety considerations.
