Over the course of his career Tim has sold PBM programs now covering hundreds of thousands of lives with cost effective and quality prescription benefits. He has sold and negotiated successfully in multiple markets including self-funded plans, both private and public, insurance carriers including Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, health plans, and third party administrators. Tim started in the PBM business with PCS (now CVC Caremark) as a regional sales director. During his four years at PCS, Tim doubled the number of covered lives in his regional and also managed several Blue Cross Blue Shield Accounts. From the late 1990's to mid 2000's, Tim focused exclusively on the Managed Care Market as Regional Sales Director for Prescription Solutions, now Optum Rx. He successfully opened and developed the MCO market in the northeast and great lakes regions for Prescription Solutions selling MCO plans totally over 600,000 lives.Prior to Tim's PBM career, he was a legislative assistant for the Ohio House of Representatives and also a campaign director for U.S. Congressman and later Governor of Ohio, Ted Strickland.
