Responsible for Regulatory Compliance and Problem Reduction during the collection, manufacture, and distribution of blood and blood products for the Southwest Region of the American Red Cross Blood Services program. • Worked with the Quality Director to form a Quality team located in Tulsa and Dallas that was responsible for the completion of Quality tasks with virtually no turnover in staff in the past three years.• Served as project leader for all Quality specific implementations, including serving as the Regional Project Manager for the implementation of the Problem Management System. • Participated in the problem management process through the development and implementation of corrective actions and effectiveness checks that resulted in a greater than 50% reduction in problems. • Hosted and interfaced with inspectors from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), American Association of Blood Bankers, National Red Cross, and other outside agencies.

Primary responsibility was the maintenance and support of all computer equipment used for regulated and non-regulated functions at the Southwest Region of the American Red Cross by working with regional staff, online software customer support, and local hardware vendors to enhance capabilities and minimize downtime. • Wrote and execute computer program validation plans that increased blood donor recruitments. • Fulfilled the Information Services support role on the regional teams that implemented updated computer systems in 1991 and 1997; the mergers with two other regions in 1991 and 1992. • Resolved issues for several National Red Cross Information Management legacy computer systems in preparation for Y2K.
