With over 16 years of dedicated service in law enforcement, I currently hold the position of Police Lieutenant at UT Health San Antonio. In this capacity, I lead various critical divisions including Police Communications, Public Safety, Criminal Investigations, Training and Recruiting, and Emergency Preparedness. Managing a team of officers and sergeants, I oversee the comprehensive operations of the police department, ensuring optimal safety and security within the UT System community.In parallel to my professional responsibilities, I have completed the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association's (LEEDA) Trilogy training series, encompassing the Supervisory, Command, and Executive Command Leadership Schools. This rigorous training has equipped me with advanced leadership skills and strategies to excel in complex law enforcement environments.I am also committed to advancing my expertise in the field academically, and I am on track to graduate from Texas A&M International University with a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, complementing my Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Texas A&M-Commerce.Throughout my career, I have received esteemed recognition for my outstanding performance and exemplary leadership. Awards such as Officer of the Year, Medal of Valor, and Supervisor of the Year attest to my unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of the community I serve.As a founding member of the UT System Rapid Response Team, I played an integral role in its establishment, contributing to the management of large-scale events, protests, and warrant service across multiple campuses.Furthermore, I bring valuable experience as a Navy Veteran, having served as a US Navy Hospital Corpsman and being forward deployed with 3rd Battalion 14th Marines in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
