Department staff of 53, annual operating budget of approximately $10,000,000, annual capital budget of $2,000,000-$6,000,000, direct reporting from five groups:• Facilities Management: Operations & maintenance of the County's buildings and grounds, new construction and reconstruction of all County offices and buildings (approximately 900,000 square feet), and County mail services• Development and Community Services: Policies and ordinance implementation for development of land in Kane County; enforcement of the County's Building, Zoning, and Subdivision ordinances, the cable television franchise program, the property maintenance program, the administration adjudication program, and land use planning• Environmental Management: County landfill operations including closure and post-closure development activities, implementation of the County's Stormwater Plan, Solid Waste Management Plan, Recycling Program, and Sustainability Program• Water Resources: Enforcement of the Kane County Stormwater Ordinance for unincorporated Kane County, projects to address flooding and other stormwater related problems, cost share drainage program, and County water supply program• Mill Creek Special Service Area: Provide public works services to the Mill Creek Planned Unit Development, a 1,600 acre, 2,200 dwelling community

Implemented the start up of the Gallatin National Landfill (renamed Spoon Ridge) near Peoria, IL;• Orchestrated transition from construction/development to the first operating Subtitle D landfill facility in Illinois• Implemented a transportation system, including rail service from Minneapolis and Chicago to Galesburg, IL• Developed operating plans and procedures, an operating budget, and implemented permit requirements

Established and managed a landfill district operation, consisting of nine landfills, five under my direction• Hired and developed an accounting, sales and environmental staff; replaced operations management, forty people supervised• Annual revenues of approximately $20,000,000, annual expenses of approximately $9, 000,000 Special projects completed or underway included:Expansion of Tessman Rd.
