Wonder is a place, a set of programs, and an intention.Through education programs, retreats, rites of passage, public events, and re-conceptualizing private property, Wonder is working to address urgent issues of climate change, ecological deterioration, and human separation. Our hope is to re-weave connections within community, ourselves, and with the earth. The land we steward and where our programs and events occur exists on ancestral southern Arapahoe and Ute land, at 8,500 feet above the sea in Boulder, Colorado’s foothills.

Design and implement yearly and bi-yearly staff trainings focused on Leadership, Risk Management, Teaching, and Student Management, working to deepen our core curriculum, and increase the safety, quality, sustainability, and economy of student programs.

Bolivia And Peru

Responsible for drafting, implementing and managing our successful semester program in Bolivia and Peru including aspects of marketing, staffing, course design, curriculum development, sustaining important relationships, staff training and evaluative resources. Manage and mentor 10-12 instructors per year. The course draws between 35 and 45 students per year.

Co-managed curriculum development and evaluative tools for core curriculum focused on character developments and global citizenship. Additionally, helped shape 4 college-level course accredited through Prescott College and then Naropa University in: Language Study; Independent Study; Political Geography and Agro-ecology; Contemplative Intercultural Development and Leadership.

Front Range, Colorado

Technical and non-technical mountain guiding throughout the Front Range of Colorado, including guided ascents of the Flatirons, Longs Peak, and other 14ers.

- Lead Instructor, Staff Trainer and Course Director for mountaineering and climbing courses in Colorado, Wyoming, California, Washington, Alaska and Patagonia- Teach mountaineering, rock, glacier, snow, and ice climbing, ropes courses, maps, compass, ecology, natural history, minimum impact living, etc. on 14 to 30 day courses, with students ages 14 to adult.- Guide groups of 3-10 students through technical and semi-technical terrain.- Teach experientially with the school’s mission to improve personal character and confidence, promote self-discovery, leadership, fitness and commitment to service in students.

Guatemala, Bolivia And Peru

Instructor and Course Director for semester courses (94 days) in Guatemala (2005) and Andes and Amazon (2007-2010), 6-week summer course in Bolivia, and 2-week custom course in Peru with a focus on global citizenship, self-awareness, leadership, culture, politics, history, and Spanish language for students ages 12-22.

Management of a variety of summer and semester courses in Mexico, Guatemala, Peru and Bolivia ensuring their safety, quality, sustainability and economy. Additionally worked with staffing, creating and delivering course vision, marketing, designing and delivering trainings for instructors
