Meridian assists clients across the Healthcare environment (private and public) in achieving improved operating efficiencies and performance, through the development of bespoke management and behavioural processes. These processes are all designed and implemented to ensure that our client organisation can be assured of returning the best performance on the resources applied. We work with about 20 to 25 organisations a year, both in the public and private sectors. Within the NHS our acute clients have included Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, North Manchester Acute Trust and Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust. Our Primary Care Clients have included Warrington PCT, Havering PCT, Sheffield PCT and W. Sussex PCT helping them to reduce their operating costs, improve their productivity and provide value for money. The approach that we use is very straightforward. When we have a client that has an interest in pursuing increased profits through a reduction in operating costs, an improvement in the quality of work and if we feel that our approach is compatible with the operating philosophy of that organisation, we undertake an analysis of the operation. It takes us 2 to 3 weeks to complete the analysis, and we do it at our own expense. We do not charge for the analysis.If, during the course of the analysis, we see that we can substantially reduce the client’s operating costs, that is:we are able to deliver at least a 250% return on a client’s investment within one year after the completion of the projectwe are able to deliver at least 60% of a client’s investment during the duration of the project Then we submit a proposal.If the proposal is accepted, then we become involved in a project.
