A ‘hands on’ Financial Controller reporting to the CFO with responsibility for all day-to-day financial operations of Vitex Pharmaceuticals:- Managing the 5 person finance team consisting of AP officers, AR offier, Management and Financial Accountants- Oversight and improvement of the Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes, with $200m in sales and $150m domestic and international purchases respectively- Improvement of core finance processes in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Wiise) including automating international payments and streamling AP processes- Completion of month-end closure and process and preparation and analysis of Monthly Management Accounts- Preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for submissions to banks and external advisers-Supporting due diligence, including working with external advisers on Information Memorandum preparation, Legal and Financial VDD and Bidder Q&A - Accounting for AASB 16 leases and dividends- Liaising with banks on the debt portfolio, in conjunction with CFO-Maintenance and documentation of accounting procedures- Implementing financial controls and overseeing the annual financial statement audit

Responsible for capital program governance, reporting and PMO processes supporting the $1b capital program at Sydney Airport. Reduced timeframes for approval of capital funding from weeks to days, and trained business case authors on improving the quality of business cases. Further process improvements are to implement workflow on business cases and implement a PPM solution

Responsible for monitoring the performance of Networks NSW (Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy & Essential Energy) cost reduction initiatives. Identifying and designing new programs to deliver against aggressive cost saving targets. Secretary of the Network Reform Program Steering Committee providing oversight of all reform activities across NNSW to the Executive Leadership Group. Establishing a program governance process based on the Managing Successful Programs framework.

Tim joined KPMG in 2002, and has led and worked on a range of business transformation and cost optimisation projects for energy, natural resources and government clients. Tim has also worked closely with a number of CFOs to deliver change in their finance functions, including new finance operating models, faster month end close and reporting and increased accuracy in forecasting.Tim specialises in the unique challenges facing asset intensive organisations, including capital allocation, project accounting and managing large portfolios of fixed assets.
