Our world is full of unusual twists and turns. Executives need an edge, so their investments create much-needed benefits with greater certainty. By helping the execution teams, we can take wicked problems down to size and have an outsized impact.I’m a project leader, digital transformation driver, and process specialist. I like the challenges executives have where the solution has some ambiguity to it, so the solution involves some searching and conversation. My secret sauce is asking good questions + enrolling people to help. I think in images. I start by imagining us at the end, successful, and celebrating as a team. I work backward, discovering a list of milestones until ending up in the present. When not sure, I reach out and ask questions, so people help me understand. When a twist threatens the results we are striving for, I ask people for help. There are no boundaries to where and in what form the help comes in. In my mind's eye, I take a successful ending as a given. Executing the project then becomes an explanation for how we got the success. If not the current path, then there is another branch we went down. We just need to find it.I’m an engineer by training, an entrepreneur by approach, and a craftsman at heart. It seems like I have put in my 10,000 hours delivering projects or initiatives, and there are a half dozen times when we have accomplished things others thought impossible.People I’ve had the pleasure to work with say,"One of the best leaders I have ever had the opportunity to report to""Not only great with customers, he has a magic touch""Intense curiosity, big-picture thinking, and willingness to get his hands dirty""When he needed me (the CEO) to do things, he asked in a way that made me happy to help"Ask me about those accomplishments people thought impossible, or how I can help with your initiatives, lessening the risk, and delivering the results needed.
