As the Resident Assistant, I upheld the rules of residence on a dorm floor of 27 underclassmen, tactfully resolved disputes between roommates or hallmates, and served as liaison between residents and public safety officers during health emergencies. I advised residents on sensitive personal and academic concerns and organized community events to foster a welcoming and inclusive campus culture.I stood ready 24/7 to respond to student concerns or incidents in the entire dormitory building of 70 residents. I also coordinated with school officials and other Resident Assistants to support school-wide events and programs in a campus of 450 students.During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I transitioned to virtual learning and made use of online resources such as Discord and Microsoft Teams to keep in contact with my hallmates. In a position funded by a Mellon Grant in Digital Humanities, I programmed instructional exercises for Ancient Greek on learning management system (LMS) platforms such as Canvas & Ed App, in collaboration with the Learning Technology Coordinator and school staff. I researched Regex and classical language pedagogy to brainstorm improvements to the Ancient Greek curriculum.I also developed an online database of archival material at the college's Greenfield Library. This involved entering metadata and producing documentation for hundreds of instructional and historic files dating back to the 1920s.On my own initiative, I drafted 5+ modules on Greek grammar and a 32-page pedagogical guide to English syntax, drawing on my writing abilities and experience as a Greek Assistant.

After studying Ancient Greek for only one year, my college hired me to give remedial tutoring for underclassmen. I took complex grammatical concepts and broke them down using simple, non-technical explanations for students who had otherwise no understanding of grammar. I leveraged my verbal communication, explanatory, and linguistic abilities for this teaching role. I evaluated homework and technical assignments, providing necessary feedback and guidance to students.

Working as part of a small team of three or four, I ensured the physical security of patrons and staff in a dynamic, quick-paced environment. I assisted with event set-up, authorized entry of up to 250 customers per night, and guarded against theft and property damage. I acted as the first point of contact for outside inquiries, handling telephone and verbal requests for information.

I coached 12 children ranging from first to fifth grades in the fundamentals of chess at a local elementary school and assisted in a classroom of 30 third-graders.
