Manages the AECB Standards and Certification Scheme, an Expert Advisor for the AECB Retrofit course and also supports the PHribbon software. Originally an Architectural Technologist, still very much using his experience as a Passivhaus Designer since 2012.

Software developer for AECB PHribbon, NAPHN PHribbon and Passive House Canada PHribbon. Active as a Passivhaus Designer for 10 years.

Passivhaus Designer. Produces the design strategy for low energy buildings through PHPP energy calculations as a certified Passivhaus Designer. Clients include the AECB and Simmonds Mills. Wrote the PHribbon software for the AECB in 2019, it has been continually updated since then and will now be available in the USA and Canada. Also wrote costing calculations for a manufacturer, software to tabulate and graph data from many sensors, and economics software for retrofits, all using Visual Basic. Retrofit Coordinator. From Sept 208-Oct 2019 worked on London's GLA funded "Warmer Homes" grant funded scheme. Coordinated around 90 projects, mainly low cost measures due to funding limitations: heating upgrades, loft and cavity wall insulation, window and door upgrades. For 2 years prepared material for the AECB's Carbonlite Retrofit course and is still a course tutor for the Economics and Case studies modules. Has given many talks on Retrofit Economics and has spoken at 3 AECB conferences and the International Passivhaus Conference in Munich in 2018.

Worked on final PHPP certification models of 7 buildings and a pre-construction check, including houses, flats and a university building. Assisted in ventilation commissioning. Mananged the promoting, booking, budgeting, printing, trainers, venues and visits of 4 Carbonlite Passivhaus Designer courses, updated some of the material, wrote extra exercises and gave 2 x 2hr lectures at University of Plymouth.

Research and Development in ifD air filtration technology. Planned and carried out experiments, reported findings and processed large amounts of data in Excel using complex spreadsheets and sophisticated graphs using VB code.

Visual Basic programmer, working on Visual Basic version 6. Was already quite familiar with programming as the language is similar to Pascal learnt for a year at University.
