Developed and tested a detailed system design for the Network Management components of a Telecommunications system. These components included a RedHat Network Management server, Avocent (formerly Cyclades) terminal servers, Avocent Power Management pods and GDC secure modems. Troubleshot customer network issues with MPLS L3VPNs, IPSEC tunnels, OSPF-TE LSPs, Firewall policies, and multiple WAN connections, including T1, E1, T3, E3, SONET and SDH.Compiled requirements for a Telecommunications OSS system. Participated in an evaluation of four different OSS solution sets and produced a white paper that provided the technical pros and cons of each solution set and which one best met the requirements.Developed Cramer ResourceManager inventory extensions for modeling technologies such as MLPPP bundles and E-1's inside Channelized STM-1 Cards. Developed over 50 repeatable ResourceManager models for different network designs that could be turned into TaskEngine templates for use in Cramer. Developed and documented rules for link naming, circuit naming, port naming, number selection, and extended attributes applied to Cramer objects. Imported large amounts of operational data into the Cramer model using custom PL/SQL scripts. Used the Cramer tools for data imports and deployment to network devices. Provided Cramer end-user assistance for operational issues with the data and with TaskEngine and DeliveryEngine elements.Developed design documentation for a next-generation operational support system (OSS) that included a configuration management plan and systems integration plans. Conducted a market survey for Telecommunications OSS system components available in the commercial marketspace Developed System Requirements Documents (SRD), System Design Specifications (SDS) and Data Migration Plans for an integrated IP Address Management and DNS/DHCP platform. This served as the roadmap to integrate fifteen different sources of IP Address data into one system.

Network Measurements using InfoVistaNetwork Operations for a carrier-class network at 350 sites world-wide. Network incorporated Cisco 36xx series routers, NET Promina Multiplexers, Hughes Network X.25 Packet Switches, Telematics ACP X.25 PAD devices, Marconi ASX-200 and ASX-1000 switches. Responsible for populating and maintaining IPAM/DNS Application (NetID), Rebuilt IBM Netcool Omnibus server for event consolidation. Wrote/modified probe parsing and rules files. Developed PERL scripts for network management/automation.

Performed systems design and integration of large and small scale LANs and WANs for Department of Defense agencies. Engineered long-haul circuits using NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and DISN for several Defense Megacenter migration sites. Upgraded sites from old TDM equipment to NETs IDNX 90 and SONET Transmission Management System (STM/S). Served as a LAN/WAN consultant for the evaluation of the Army's Outside Cable Rehabilitation II (OSCAR II) contract, a $250 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for communications equipment. Briefed several Government executives on the LAN team's findings of the nine-month evaluation. Configured a small network of Fore ASX-200WG switches and Fore PowerHub ATM Edge Devices for a LANE 1.0 network. Developed technical analysis and cost estimates for DISA on how to migrate IBM and Unisys Mainframe communications systems into simplified integrated communications architecture. Implemented Cisco Channel Interface Processor (CIP) cards at two DOD Megacenters.
