About Tim Mitchell

I am now a full time potter.Up until August 2022 my career in financial services focused, almost entirely, on listed funds: investment trusts and Exchange Traded Funds. I have fulfilled many buy and sell side functions involving listed funds, predominately in sales and sales team leadership. In 2017 I moved internally to reorganise and refocus the UK Strategic Relationships business, that has an open-ended fund and separate managed account bias, before returning to the Investment trust business as a Client Director in September 2020. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Investment Trust business in February 2014 as the Head of Investment Trust Sales I worked for Investec Bank, the specialist Investment Bank, within Corporate Finance mostly advising investment companies and asset managers.Prior to joining Investec Securities in April 2012, my career at Invesco Perpetual focused on listed funds including both closed-end investment companies and exchange traded funds (PowerShares ETFs).After 30 years of both buy and sell-side involvement in all aspects of the listed funds sector I have the connections and thorough understand of investing institutions, fund management groups, non-executive directors as well as having a full understanding of the many technical considerations and regulatory requirements.
